The two units are functionally identical. Negative carriers and accessories are much the same as for the b600.

Since the b600 has so many parts in common with the c7 the b 600 base and column can be used with either model used advice a current model, easily serviced. The color head that was initially offered with the c 700 was called the super chromega c 700 dichroic lamp house, but with the introduction of the c760 r in 1981, the same color head, with minor changes, was renamed the super chromega c760 dichroic lamp house and the catalogue number changed. While the b600 accommodated a maximum negative size of 2 x2, the c700 can accept negatives up to 2 x2.
